Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp ginger, grated (optional)
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar or honey
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef – In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned, breaking it up into small pieces. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Add Flavor – Stir in garlic and ginger. Cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Make the Sauce – Add soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Stir and simmer for 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly and coats the beef.
  4. Assemble Bowls – Divide cooked rice among bowls. Top with the flavored ground beef, green onions, sesame seeds, and optional vegetables.
