Description

A delicious recipe for crispy orange chicken that is both sweet and savory.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Chicken Thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Orange Juice
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce (low-sodium preferred)
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, grated

Instructions

  1. Coat chicken pieces in cornstarch and ensure they are well-covered.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan until hot, add chicken pieces, and fry until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. In a separate pan, combine orange juice, soy sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  4. Add the crispy chicken back into the sauce, toss to coat, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate in the sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Serve the chicken over steamed rice or with stir-fried vegetables for a complete meal.
