Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, mix the white cake mix according to package instructions, pouring it into a greased 9×13-inch pan.
  2. Place the cake in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let it cool completely before moving on.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the crushed pineapple (with juice), ½ tsp vanilla extract, and ¼ cup granulated sugar. Stir gently until it thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.
