Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispies Treats perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3 ½ cups mini marshmallows (divided)
  • 16 ounces melting chocolate (or semi-sweet chocolate chips)
  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Instructions

  1. Place the mini marshmallows in the freezer until ready to use.
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, combine chocolate, peanut butter, and butter. Cook, stirring often, until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool for 5 minutes.
  4. Line an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal.
  5. Stir the Rice Krispies cereal and 3 cups of the marshmallows into the cooled chocolate mixture. Mix quickly and just until combined.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup marshmallows over the top.
  8. Refrigerate for 2–3 hours, or until fully set.
  9. Lift from the pan using parchment paper and cut into bars.

Notes

  • For best results, make sure to completely melt the chocolate with the peanut butter and butter.
  • Allowing the mixture to cool slightly helps to avoid melting the mini marshmallows when added.
