- 2 medium Granny Smith apples, chopped
- 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- Olive oil for drizzling on crostini
Instructions
- Chop apples and onions into small pieces.
- Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Sauté onions until soft (about 5 minutes).
- Add cranberries, chopped apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and vinegar. Mix well.
- Simmer gently for 20-25 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally.
- Optional: Blend mixture for a smoother texture.
- Slice baguette into thin rounds, brush with olive oil, and toast at 400°F (200°C) until golden (about 5 minutes).
- Serve chutney atop crispy crostini.
